WORLDWIDE REPUTABLE COMPANIES 2020

As per the Global RepTrak 2020 survey, the most reputable companies of 2020 are:

1. 🇩🇰 : Lego
2. 🇺🇸 : The Walt Disney Company
3. 🇨🇭 : Rolex
4. 🇮🇹 : Ferrari
5. 🇺🇸 : Microsoft
6. 🇺🇸 : Levi Strauss & Co
7. 🇺🇸 : Netflix
8. 🇩🇪 : Adidas
9. 🇩🇪 : Bosch
10. 🇺🇸 : Intel

How was this determined?
The 2020 Global RepTrak was conducted between December 2019 and January 2020 and considered 80,540 individual responses from across the world’s 15 largest economies: Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Russia, South Korea, Spain, the U.K., and the U.S.

There were a total of 153 companies measured, who all have a global footprint and annual revenue of at least $2 billion.

It should be the goal, the dream and the aspiration of every company to feature in this list.

WORK FROM HOME

As the #Coronavirus continues to spread across the world, more and more companies are asking their employees to work from home.

Now, employees in companies where this #culture wasn't prevalent are finding it hard to work from home as they have never done it before and they are not sure how to go about it without affecting their performance and productivity.

Working from home is not easy. It takes effort and a certain mindset. I came across these brilliant designs/creatives done by Sarah Chivers that act as a good reminder of what should be done in ensuring that work from home delivers the results that you want.

Hope this helps!

FUTURE OF ADVERTISING?

Advertising agencies will always tell their clients that a 30 second TV spot does not do justice to their brand or their story.

I wonder what they would say when they see three brands being advertised in a single 43 second spot. Yes, that is right.

Three non competing brands decided to join hands and pull of an advertising stunt that has never been seen before. The common link to all three - actor Ryan Reynolds.

The result is an ad in which Ryan is promoting his latest movie that is coming on #Netflix, but he talks about enjoying its experience on a #Samsung QLED, and then brings in an ad of his own #Aviation American Gin as a mid-roll ad placement!

Is that brilliant or is that brilliant!

Will we see more non competing brands joining hands in future to save on money without diluting their own individual messages? We will have to wait and see.

Till then, enjoy this masterpiece.

CATEGORY DISRUPTIONS

Quite often, when doing competitive analysis and market share reviews, we are busy analyzing direct competitors whereas there is a different category that is slowly eating into our segment, which has not even come into our radar or attention.

Sometimes, the realization happens quite late and then either you have to live with that reality or go back to the drawing board and change your business model completely.

Here is a great example of how the #camera industry thought that it would be impacted by the explosion of digital cameras, but it was the smartphone segment that ate up all their revenues, year after year with constant improvement in its camera technology.

A clear lesson for all the players across industries. It is not about how your market share is changing but more about where is your consumer going with his or her money. hashtag#Netflix sums it up quite well when it says that is not competing with the other #OTT players, it is competing with sleep!
