As soon as the last stroke of brush finished the painting, Julianne felt a huge sigh of relief. It seemed as if a huge rock had been lifted off her chest. It had been four months since Roger, her boyfriend had died in an accident and Juliannne had not been able to come to terms with it. Today, when she saw that paint brush and easel lying untouched - the daily tools of Roger - she felt a need to connect with him. So she picked up his tools and tried to put up a melange of colours, in a swirl, symbolising the turbulence that she was feeling inside and then the escape that those emotions were looking for. In that instance, she had found her passion and her way to connect with Roger as and when she wanted.
